Too much information!
That’s what TMI stands for in case you didn’t know. That’s how I feel sometimes when I read all the information about the healthy foods that we “should” be adding to our diets. Take for example, hemp and pumpkin seeds for protein, chia seeds for your omegas and flax seeds which are powerful antioxidents. Then there are sunflower seeds which are a wonderful source of Vitamin E, magnesium and selenium among others nutrients. We can’t forget the Super Foods like Maca for magnesium and potassium and Spirulina for protein, chlorophyl and iron. There are also the yummy Super Foods like cacao, gogi berries and coconut which are all good for us too. I’m sure I have left some out but do you get the point?
It really could make you crazy to try to do it all. What I have learned-mostly from trying to do it all (just check my pantry), is that this is a journey, a journey to create a healthier life through, not only nutrition, but also through learning to love and appreciate what we have. As long as we are doing our best, staying conscious of the decisions we are making about our food and lifestyle decisions, then I’d say we are on the right path. So take the information and use what you can and put the rest aside for when you are ready to try something new.
